Equine Pony Trainer

As an  Equine pony trainer I have be extremely fortunate to have owned,and trained for exceptional pony studs through out Australia.

My success is due to having the opportunity provided by owners breeding brilliant ponies for us to perform.Through out the years I have also been lucky to train/work with some wonderful trainers.

 Mr M.D .Ansell for several years who in the showing world needs no introduction a Master in his field.

Malcolm Barns again a Master who gave me an insight to dressage.

Doug  Vickers for sharing his training skills for who I shall always be in debt.

And many thanks to Mary Hall & her very special  Cromwell who was one of the most challenging horses, I ever trained who taught me so much.A brilliant complex individual my best teacher of all .Always be in my heart & my head.

To the ponies Ralvon Camber , Arabanoo Camin, I performed for owner  Sue Williams  of Trincada Pony Stud that showed me that ponies were not small at all.Then started to produce, ponies on my own & have been doing so ever since.As time went on re educating so many ponies, I realised that the starting of young ponies was where my passions & skills ,I had learnt  would be of value. 

So today my journey with my four legged friends has given me very strong ideas on the starting of ponies of all breeds. As ponies are where  young riders start their riding careers, a young rider on a confident,obedient educated pony learn the joys of dressage ,jumping in a pleasurable,safe manner. 

Smaller Adult riders & Breeders now have realised the future of performance ponies in Australia their training is of high importance for all fields.

So the starting of young stock in hand or under saddle is not to be taken lightly as it is a start to a career.    

Picture above a young imported stallion that I recently started under saddle  at his first outing,he behaved impeccably,relaxed & confident with the strange surroundings & ponies at werribee.The young Furzley Brocaide(imp) took the whole day in his stride thrilled with him & his performance.

Gone are the days of its only a pony.

 Kristal is a tiny very competent rider suitable for ponies has been working with me for 6yrs starting & educating ponies,she has recently started performing ponies inhand & undersaddle ,& joining me in starting young ponies under saddle with great success.

Stallion Bain Park Shiraz owned by Sandra Barry  performed by Kristal for Supreme Champion At Barastoc APSB section, performed for Supreme again at Sport Pony Youngstock day.Kristal also performed at his first couple of saddle outings.

A brillant young event / showjumping rider  has recently joined our team  in pony training & performance we are lucky to have a talented young tiny jump rider to help us with our performance ponies and add her skills to our own.

River Valley Stud,Jinrohan Pony Stud & Bain Park Pony Stud Had a excellent day in the youngstock classes congratulations.

Update soon with piccies.......River Valley Red Shoes !st & res,River Vally Sultan 1st & champ ,Bain Park Shiraz Ist ,Champ & Supreme then 2nd in Mat Class.Jinorahan's arnwod Musican 4 in the material class,for a stallions first outing & very limited saddle training he was exceptional well done Caroline & Rod (what a brave boy)also I might add did not have the opportunity to train with other ponies prior to this event or work in an arena.What a great way to introduce young green ponies to a saddle career. Tina did an excellent job guiding us through, definitely a safe environment for young stallions.

Finally we are home & unpacked

We wish to forward our   condolences to all that lost friends, family & property in the dreadful fires. We believe ourselves to be extremely lucky to only be grumbling about trivial inconveniences.

Firstly we thank Carol George for caring for Furzley Brocaide & River Valley Charlie Brown during their extended stay.  

We wish to thank the Creber Family for taking all our ponies on a moments notice, helping us move out & back in again. Which was an enormous job .We shall be for ever indebted to them.If you are looking for a great B/B at Colensay Park in chirnside Brian & Jan Creber  have beautiful private cottages with horse facilities.

A big thank you to Denise, Brett & Macalister for having us, 2dogs, 2 ponies ,1cat & miss biscuit the rabbit living with them for 2 weeks.Also Joan  and Graham a lovely couple who looked after our colts.

Thank you to our neighbours  Georgina , Naomi  & Kerry  for allowing our 13 horses & ponies to run  with their horses on that dreadful Saturday night  when it began raining ash. Thank you to the C.F.A   & ABC Radio.

Sadly we missed  the  2009 ASPR Assessment tour which we had 3 stallions & 2 mares  to be assessed.For the persons that requested to view our boys on that day, Furzley Brociade , River Valley Sultan & Regal Chantelle James. They will be able to view them in  Launching Place throughout the winter ,unfortunately I have lost contact details as power surge destroyed our computer.

Happy News: our partbred welsh mare is in foal to Furzley Brociade & our Partbred N/F Kapeta Simone is as well. We look forward to these special babies.
